Latchi Diving

diverFrom the pictorial little fishing village of Latchi, it is possible to discover the coastline of the beautiful Akamas Peninsular, regarded as the most exhilarating diving area on the island.  Discover a diverse range of fish, including groupers, soldier fish, damsel fish, octopus, Murray fish, and, on occasion, a turtle or a dolphin. This region has the ability to present unique and unforgettable diving experiences, due to its range of magnificent dive sites.

St. Georges Island

This small island, found just off the coast, by St. Georges Harbour, is one of the favourite sites. Descend down the sponge covered walls of the island, exploring numerous caves and overhangs, from depths between 3metres and 42 meters. This area also attracts a variety of fish life.

Amphitheatre

As the name suggests, discover this underwater replica of an amphitheatre.  Over time, natural sea currents have carved this picturesque site out of the underwater coast line.  It is a pleasure to dive amongst the amazing rock formations and exciting sea life.

Fontana Amorosa

Fontana Amorosa, the ‘Fountain of Love', formally a natural harbour in ancient times, is a beautiful dive site with crystal clear visibility.  Roam around the numerous hills and valleys, discovering ancient pieces of pottery embedded in the rocks from the time when pottery was thrown into the sea by the Romans as an offering to the gods.

Masaki Island

This submerged island is situated on the cape of the Akamas Peninsula.  Enjoy the many arches, swim throughs and rock formations.

Black Rocks

This adventurous site is overflowing with underwater canyons, cave, tunnels, swim throughs and stretches of gorges.  It is also teeming with marine life.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving

Take the first step to exploring a whole new world, the underwater world.  Discover scuba diving gives an introduction to the sereal experience of weightlessness and breathing underwater.

This program begins with an introduction to the theory, equipement and skills of diving. The theory is followed by a swimming pool session and then the first sea dive.

PADI Bubblemaker

This program is designed for children from the age of 8 years.  Experience diving in one of the areas natural, shallow, sea water lagoons.

PADI Scuba Diver

For those who wish to become certified divers, the Scuba Diver program enables one to do so within 2 days.  It involves 3 theory sessions, 3 swimming pool practise sessions and 2 water dives, to a maximum of 12 meters and with a professional diver.

PADI Open Water Diver

Within 3 to 4 days qualify for a lifetime of recreational diving without the need for professional guidance.  Complete 5 theory sessions, 5 confined water practise sessions and 4 open water dives and also be certified to dive to a depth of 18 meters.

PADI Adventure Diver

Choose 3 dives from a wide range of PADI specialities, and expand your knowledge of diving and skills through this Adventure Diver program.

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

This program follows the same guidelines as the Adventure Diver, however, requires 5 dives, including the Deep and Navigation dives.  This also enables one to dive up to 30 meters.

PADI Emergency First Responder

In only one day qualify as a first aider. Suitable for both divers and non-divers, this program leads to a first aider qualification.  Learn how to deal with a situation in the event of an accident; how to administer CPR       , resuscitation techniques, accident management, how to treat shock, bleeding and broken bones.

PADI Rescue Diver

Once a qualified emergency first responder, it is possible to continue and become a certified Rescue diver.  This program is particularly challenging, however rewarding at the same time.  Learn how to evaluate, take control and take action when needed.

PADI Master Scuba Diver

In order to become a Master Scuba Diver, considered the highest level of recreational diving, it is necessary to complete 5 speciality dives and the Rescue Diver course. Some of the PADI Specialities include Underwater Navigator, Wreck Diver, Deep Fiver and Enriched Air Nitrox Diver.

Paphos Diving diving

The historical town of Paphos is surrounded by magical dive sites, and a great base to venture to other sites slightly further a field.  Enclosed by crystal clear waters, and under no threat from dangerous underwater currents, relax and enjoy the magnitude of sea life and numerous cliffs, valleys and rock formations, which Paphos has to offer.

The Amphitheatres

Regarded as the best shore dives in the Paphos area, explore the three naturally formed Amphitheatres. Glide along their stages found at 10 to 12 meters, and their seats which rise to the surface.

Seals Snout

This adventurous dive site commences by descending into a small cave before exiting through an underwater hole, into the open sea.  Swim over vibrant fields of sea grass, home to many species of small fish.  As descending continues, witness the dramatic scenery, and wonder through the countless caves and swim throughs.

The Wreck of the Achilleas

This mystifying wreck is positioned approximately 5 kilometres out of Paphos Harbour.  In 1975 the Greek vessel mysteriously exploded and sunk, coming to rest in two halves and at a depth of 11 meters.  The wreck lies upside down and has become home to a vast array of marine life.  Enjoy exploring the wreck and in particular points of interest such as the Bronze propeller and the upturned stern.

 This large freighter grounded in shallow waters and was then used for targeting practise by the Cypriot Military.  However, the ship was declared a hazard in 1974, and as a result blown up.  The wreck can now be found in many small pieces, in a valley, at a maximum depth of around 11 meters.  Setting the scense of this extraordinary site are two large archways, small caverns and exciting swim throughs.

Jubilee Shoals

For those more experienced drivers, prepare to be amazed by the sheer size of this incredible wall dive.  With a length of 5 kilometres, a to at 16 to 25 meters, and dropping to a depth of 45 to 80 meters.  The complete magnitude of this site will make the diver feel miniature in comparison, whilst swimming over large caves and crevices and under overhangs.

The Wreck of the Zenobia - Larnaka wreck

The Wreck of the Zenobia, the fourth largest wreck in the workld, will leave you breathless and with a memory that will last forever.  The 12,000 tonne, 170 meter long, 28 meter wide, ‘Roll-on, roll-off' ferry, sank under mysterious circumstances, in 1980, just one mile off shore, in Larnaka Harbour.  The wreck lies on its left side, its depth starting at 17 meters and reaching the sea bed at 42 meters.

This remarkable site will make you wonder in disbelief as you discover its decks with lorries still chained up, and trailers hanging down to the sea bed.  Make a visit to the bridge area, or the cafeteria, which are now inhabited by a mass of sea life.
