Many reptile species are becoming extinct due to mans' lack of knowledge and fear, when they are in fact an important part of our eco system and relieve us of many rodents.

There are a number of Reptile Parks throughout Cyprus which act as conservation projects for snakes and other reptiles of Cyprus, educating the Cypriots, as well as other nationalities, on the benefits of snakes and their role in the environment.
