Drousia is a village north of Paphos, which lies at an altitude of 630 meters above the sea level. It is known for its amazing panoramic views of the pristine beaches, the Akamas forest with its rich, unspoiled vegetation, and the miniature island of Agios Georgios at Peyia. The villagers' main occupation is breeding sheep and goats, in addition to working the land to produce grapes, cereals, pulses, olives and almonds. 

The village forms part of the Laona project whose concern is the general improvement and boosting of the greater area on the basis of its traditional character and nature. Like the neighboring Akamas, Drousia and its surroundings are steeped in legend and tradition.
