The Ministry of Finance is involved with Cyprus Economy, the Socio-economic policy of the Government, Government Budget, Financing Requirements, Taxation Policy and the Accession Course to the EU.

Departments

Inland Revenue: The scope of the Inland Revenue Department is the collection of the owed amounts of tax. This is done at the lowest possible administrative cost and in such a manner that warrants the highest degree of public confidence in its integrity, efficiency and fairness.

Customs and Excise: The mission of the VAT Service is to ensure the effective enforcement of the VAT legislation, to protect VAT revenues and to contribute towards the Government's policy of ensuring the benefits of society. In addition, the VAT Service aims to provide service to taxpayers and the general community in an effective, consistent, openness and impartiality manner.

Information Technology Services: The mission of the Department of Information Technology Services is to provide high quality Information Technology Systems and Services to the Government and Citizens.

Public Administration and Personnel Department: The aim of this department is formulation and execution of public programs and policies, issues pertaining to the human resources of the public sector, and the structures and procedures. They seek to improve the public sector and the quality of services offered to the public.

Printing Office: The Government Printing Office has the responsibility to ensure the civil service printing requirements including the supply of stationery and other pertinent materials.

Statistical Service: The Statistical Service of Cyprus is the authority responsible for the collection and the publication of most of the official statistical data in Cyprus.
