Coral Bay is only an approximate fifteen drive from the town of Paphos. Over the years Coral Bay has become a popular place for tourists and locals alike. There are several reasons for this popularity. Firstly Coral Bay is renowned for its beaches. The coast line offers an impressive stretch of the ocean. The water is clear and care is taken to ensure that the beaches are clean.

The Coral Bay main beach has been awarded by the Blue Flag Beach association. This beach highly deserves the prestige award. The beach has the shape of a half moon. The two outer sections are enclosed by rocks and sea caves. The inner middle section offers a beach shore with scattered sun beds, lots of space to move around and for children to play. There is a life guard on duty that is fully trained and equip with the correct life saving gear. With the almost always warm climate the beach is one of Coral Bays best pass time.

Along the Coral Bay main road one will find many amenities and the night life is always bursting with energy. There are several places to dine out. Cafés offer snacks and refreshments and there is defiantly a restaurant that suits your needs. There is also a popular night club that has a policy of constantly being renovated. So if you visit the club once, don't except it to look the same the following year. The beach offers sports such as parasailing, snorkelling, diving, sailing, jet skiing, boat trips and fishing. Other activities include mini - golf, bicycle rides, tennis, horse riding, go karting and hiking. One can also visit local wineries where you can taste the local wine.

The two most popular historical sights are firstly the Wreck of Vera K and the Peyia Vrisi (Fountain). The Wreck of Vera K is a Lebanese Freighter which grounded in shallow water. Sine then it has been used for target practice by the Cypriote Military. In 1974 the ship was declared a hazard to other ships and was blown up. Beside the wreck this dive site offers a unique and colourful archway. Peyia Vrisi is a fountain found in the middle of the Peyia village. This fountain was the only source of water for the whole village many years ago. It is a simple sight yet has a powerful historical importance.
