Cyprus weddings are perfectly legal. The couple must be in Cyprus for at least 3 days before the wedding can take place. The wedding ceremony and all the accompanying paperwork will be conducted in English.

For all types of weddings the Bride & Groom must visit the Town Hall prior to the marriage with all relevant documentation.

Documentation required:
• Valid 10 year passport
• Birth certificate
• Clearance for passport (you must apply to the Irish Embassy for a freedom to marry certificate, which can take two months to obtain)
• Decree Absolute/Affidavit (if divorced)
• Spouse’s Death Certificate & previous Marriage Certificate (if widowed)
• Adoption certificates if applicable
• Deed poll proof of name if applicable
• Copies of witnesses passports
