University of Cyprus

The University of Cyprus was established in 1989 and admitted its first students in 1992. It consists of four faculties, twelve departments and one research unit for Archaeology. The total number of students at undergraduate level is 2750. Fees for foreign students total 2000 Cyprus pounds per semester.

The University of Cyprus is offering graduate programmes at the levels of Masters (M.A. and M.Sc.) and Doctor Philosophy (PH.D.), based on course work and dissertation or thesis respectively.

The University is a public corporate body and is governed by the Council and the Senate.
